Patricia at Today I Think recently posted a lovely comment on one of my posts and awarded me the Versatile Bloggers Award. Thank you Patricia.
I am constantly amazed at my blogging friends and their generosity. This is the fourth time I have received this award and each time it reminds me why I am so happy to be part of this community.
In accepting the Award from Patricia (and her beautiful cat friend) I am called upon to tell you 7 things about me. If you have read my earlier posts you probably know about me and how boring I am, but here goes:
- I am in my 70s and live alone with my small companion Lotte a
- I was married for 41 years until my husband’s untimely death 13 years ago.
- I choose to live in Wellington, the capital of New Zealand.
- I am passionate about this city and share as much as can with readers of my blog.
- I have been part of the blogging community since March 1, 2011 and have to thank all those who follow me, and the 15000+ visitors to my site.
- I love spending time with my four, gorgeous grandsons. They are growing into fine young men – no bias here.
- If I could choose, I would choose my daughter and son as my children over any others. And I
likelove the two people with whom they have chosen to spend their lives,
Boring eh? Did I warn you or not?
The second part of accepting this award is to pass it on to 15 others. My blog roll lists 23 blogs that I follow and couldn’t begin to differentiate between them. So may I cheat a little and ask you to go to the blogroll and check in on each and every one of these fantastic bloggers and their posts.
To all those bloggers thank you for brightening my days, for giving me food for thought and thank you for reading and commenting on my blog.
And here is the winner’s bouquet for each of you.

What a lovely bouquet! Congratulations on your award, it is well deserved.
Thank you for that comment Patti. Comments are why we continue to post a blog each day (even when we have nothing to say)
Congratulations my friend. Well deserve . You are gifted with a lot of love to give. I enjoyed reading the things about you. I too would choose my wife and son like you would choose your children above anyone else. Family first! We have the same blog month- year anniversary, march 2011. What are the odds. Our journey has taken off beautifully, meaningfully since then. God bless you always and your family. We can have a double blog birthday next year. Any plan in mind?
Thank you and I am honoured that you count me as a friend, In the months since I started blogging I have made so many wonderful connections each of whom have become friends.
Yes, do let’s keep in mind our anniversary next year and share it. Pity we live so far apart – where are you by the way?
Well done Judith and the flowers are lovely, thank you:-)
You are most welcome Lynley. 🙂
Congratulations, Judith! And thank you not only for the roses, but for sharing such REAL and honest (not boring) stories from your life, and for your inspiration, simply explained by the title of your blog!
Thanks for the congratulations and for the comment on my stories. Comments are what make the act of sitting down each day to post a blog totally worthwhile.
Well deserved! Congrats!
The flowers are beautiful. Thank you! Always enjoy your posts!
You are most welcome and thanks for the comment.
I enjoy your posts, Judith. Write on!
Thanks for the encouragement Nancy. Isn’t this blogging world wonderful?
I find out more about you when you get these VBA’s! I didn’t know you were in your 70’s. You think young! But 70 is the new 40, no?
Well I often look in the mirror and wonder why my mother is in my bathroom. But I don’t feel over 70 so I guess that’s a definite plus. 🙂
I love learning these little details about you, which is one of the reasons I enjoy your blog so much! Keep up the good work.
Thank you I do appreciate that comment.
When I first started blogging way back in March a friend(?) asked why I would expect anybody to be interested in what I have to say. And the community of bloggers have supported my decision, So thank you again!
