Home Alone

JUST ANOTHER SATURDAY NIGHT – HOME ALONE

It’s a wet blustery winter night in Wellington.  When I arrived home from the hospital, even though the heating was on and the house was warm, I lit the fire.

Then I lit the candles.

There, that’s so much better.

  1. A fire and candles can really warm things up. It´s only 29C here in Spain today. A drop from the 40s we had earlier. Sending warm hugs. ❤

  3. Beautiful, to light a fire and candles. You even went to sleep listening to the music. I would think, this being calm like this was very good for you and much needed. My thoughts are with you, dear Judith. Your pictures show a lovely place. Thank you for sharing. Uta from very cold NSW, Australia.

    • Oh Granny. My partner, the Architect, is in hospital. Four weeks ago they diagnosed a brain tumour. He has had a course of chemo and we now await the next round, either chemo or radiation. So I spend most of every day with him in the hospital. Coming home to a warm, inviting house is balm to the soul. Thanks for caring.

  12. The fire and candles do look comforting and calming. I know how tiring and stressful days in the hospital can be. It is often worse for the one visiting than for the patient Both of you are in my prayers.
